intro is a cover of rose of sharon by xiu xiu
i heard the song makeshift parties by if i die in mississippi a few years ago and i wanted to write something similar, the words kinda shot out of me while i was playing the synth part and i built the song up from there. I have had a really hard time over the past year reconciling with myself and who I am, who I should be, and how to overcome the obstacles my brain sets in front of me to live the life I want to live. I want to write music like this forever. I feel like this song is the album, through what it represents in what I set out to do throughout the past two years, capturing what I was feeling at that given moment.
